burn和bring和break英语知识点精析 1. so that (1)=in order that 引导目的状语从句, 从句中的谓语动词前常带may, might, can, could和should等情态动词。 (2)引导结果状语从句，主句和从句是原因与结果的关系，作“因此”讲。(≠in order that) so + adj. /adv. that 引导结果状语从句，“如此……以致……”。 so ... as to 引导目的状语，只位于句中。 in order to 引导目的状语，位于句首或句中。 (1)We started early so that/in order that we could catch the early bus. (2)We started early in order to/so as to catch the early bus. (3)We got up early so that we caught the early bus. (4)We got up so early that we caught the early bus. (5)We got up so early as to catch the early bus. (6)In order to catch the early bus we started early. ( 注：限于主句的主语与从句的主语一致才可进行以上转换。) 2. keep+宾语+from doing(from不能省去)stop+宾语+(from)doing prevent+宾语+(from)doing(from 可省去) 阻止..做某事 注意：被动语态中from都不能省去。 The heavy rain kept us from /stopped us (from)/ prevented us (from)going to the park. We were kept / stopped /prevented from going to the park by the heavy rain. 3. feed—fed—fed feed sb.(sth.) feed sth. to sb. feed sb. with (on) sth. (animals) feed on... (people) live on... 4.burn—burned—burned burnt—burnt v. 燃烧，烧掉 Paper burns easily. I burned old letters. v. 烧伤，烫 伤，晒黑 The boy burned his finger badly. She got burnt while cooking. My skin burns easily. v. 发光，发烧 The light was burning at the gate.
